This was a great read! Laughed out loud 😅 (I’ve been there with the running).

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm much happier on my yoga mat.

I'd never heard of Rich before I read this piece, yet I absolutely loved your story and writing here :)

Especially the paragraph where you talk about baby steps and discipline... and this line -

'They land on the moon so I can see how close the treetops are.'

Thank you for a lovely read!

Wonderful read. Love getting to know you and the people who inspire you. You must send this to Rich Roll. I’ve done the 500 yard jog-- probably to my car in the parking lot in the rain and called it a workout. 😉

Haha!! That’s about the extent of my running as well. And oh my goodness, I almost can’t even cope with the thought of Rich reading my writing. He’s such an inspiration to me.

Hi! New reader here and love your writing style. Very impressed you get on a yoga mat every day and now I’m inspired. 😀 I have a dance instructor who texts me constantly to see if I’m coming to class, and without her nudge, I might never got off my keister. Never heard of Rich Roll, but I will check him out.

Hi Hilary, welcome! I'm so glad you are here and enjoying yourself. My Yoga practice, like Rome, was not built in a day. It took me a long time to get there. The key for me was getting it done first thing in the morning. I noticed when I waited longer I would find every excuse under the sun to avoid it. How amazing that your dance instructor keeps you accountable. May we all find someone willing to reach out and remind us to show up for ourselves.
